Upcoming TTC Construction

TTC Streetcar on Queen Street

TTC Streetcar on Queen Street

Construction season is approaching, and there are two big TTC Streetcar projects coming up on Queen St. East that could make it a bit harder to get around.

Queen and Leslie Closure May 11 to June 21, 2014

This closure is to connect the tracks Queen Street East to the new tracks that run down Leslie Street to the new The Leslie Barns Streetcar Maintenance & Storage. The Leslie Barns will house the new fleet of Streetcars that begin rolling out this summer.

Unfortunately, this means delays for drivers and TTC users. The intersection at Queen and Leslie will be closed between May 11 and June 21. The 501 Queen Streetcar will divert up Broadview to Gerrard Street, then back down to Queen at Coxwell. Frequent local bus service will run along Queen street.

Broadview Avenue and Queen Street East Intersection, June 30 to July 25, 2014

Right after the work complete at Queen and Leslie, there will be another disruption at Queen and Broadview to replace the streetcar tracks.

501/301 Queen, 502 Downtowner and 503 Kingston Road streetcars will travel down Gerrard Stret between Parliament and Coxwell. The 504 King streetcar will cross the Don Valley on Dundas instead of Queen.
