Paula Fletcher has officially filed the paperwork required to run for re-election as ward 30 city councillor. Fletcher is joining five other candidates running in Ward 30: Mark Borden, Kim Diep, Jane Farrow, Daniel Trayes and Liz West.

It’s shaping up to be an exciting race in Ward 30 with Fletcher facing a few high profile candidates. TV personality Liz West narrowly lost to Fletcher in 2010, taking 44% of the vote to Fletcher’s 45.3%. Former CBC radio host and urban advocate Jane Farrow entered the race earlier this year. Farrow is an well known voice in Toronto urban issues, having been the Program Coordinator for the Inside Out Film Festival, the first Executive Director of Jane’s Walk, and the executive assistant to Ward 32’s Mary-Margaret McMahon.

It will be interesting to see what happens on October 27th!
